Pilot Drilling Control has invested a considerable amount of time (especially for a small establishment) in supporting students through specific programme's. They have given several industry placements for students keen to gain real insight into how successful entrepreneurial businesses operate.

From this the company has gained an understanding that for its own industry it is important that students leave school eager to pursue training and education that will enable them to engage in a physics- and maths- based industry. To this end they have been working closely with the high schools in Lowestoft to develop courses to complement post 16 courses at a level that would promote an understanding and enthusiasm for an industry that currently has difficulty recruiting from the local employee base.
